The anticipation is building for the debut of the Amusement and Retail Entertainment Expo (ARE Expo), set to take place on 29-30 April 2025 in Manchester. Organised by Swan Events, the show is already generating tremendous enthusiasm from industry professionals eager to explore new opportunities in retail leisure, technology, and interactive entertainment.
The two-day event will feature a dynamic mix of exhibition space, interactive workshops, and live experiences, making it unlike any other industry gathering.
Interactive Workshops: The High Street Hub & The Leisure Entertainment Lab
A major highlight of the ARE Expo will be the introduction of two interactive workshop streams running across both days:
• The High Street Hub, led by the Gambling Business Group, will provide insights into innovation in the gambling sector alongside legislative developments and the future of the industry.
• The Leisure Entertainment Lab, hosted by The Amusement Network, will explore the opportunities provided by competitive socialising, AI operating solutions and consumer engagement, offering new business opportunities for operators in the leisure and entertainment sectors.
These sessions will offer hands-on demonstrations, expert-led discussions, and real-world strategies designed to help delegates stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market.
A Unique Venue & Networking Experience
Adding to the show’s distinctive appeal is the choice of venue – a converted warehouse and live music space, providing a fresh, informal setting that enhances networking opportunities and exhibitor interactions. In addition to a dedicated technology zone, the show will feature relaxing lounge areas, several bars, and an on-site social event with live music on the evening of 29 April.
Karen Cooke, Director of Swan Events, expressed her excitement about the event’s unique format:
“ARE is shaping up to be quite different from any industry event I have organised to date. First, there’s the location in Manchester, which we believe will attract visitors from as far north as Scotland. Then there’s the venue itself, which has an entirely different feel from a traditional exhibition hall, allowing us great flexibility with the layout.
We have created a dedicated technology zone, alongside lounge areas, street food, and workshops designed to give operators real, actionable insights to move their businesses forward. The response so far has been incredible, and we can’t wait to bring the industry together for this exciting new event.”
A Must-Attend Event for Industry Professionals and Regulators
With a strong lineup of exhibitors, thought-provoking discussions, and innovative demonstrations, the ARE Expo promises to be a game-changer for professionals in amusement, gaming, and retail entertainment, as well as opportunity for local and national regulators to see many of the operators that they licence under one roof
