Joyce's Welcome Column! - May

Well here we go the start of a new era with The Amusement Network. 

I have to say that I am excited about the new newsletter and feel honoured that Steph has asked me to be part of it. We have worked together for around 13 years, never a cross word between us and I have enjoyed every minute of our time together, loved doing the chat column and hope that all of you have enjoyed reading it and please continue to do this in the new newsletter.

The chat column was born the year after the sudden death of the late Martin Dempsey organiser of the Irish show who I used to work for, and it was at the Irish show of 2010 that Steph approached me and asked me if I would be interested in doing a chat column as she wanted to do one and said she would like ‘The Queen of Chat’ on board, that was me of course!! I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to do this, but I replied by saying I will send you a chat piece and if you like it we will go from there and if not, then no offence taken on my part obviously she did like what she read and so the Chat Column was born.

Anyway, enough of me prattling on, but just wanted to say good luck to Steph with her new venture, I am behind her 100% and I just you folks out there in the industry will give her the same support too.
