Boomerang Digital confirm Playsafe purchase

Boomerang Digital, the multi-sector gaming and entertainment solutions provider which was launched in December 2023 has announced the purchase of Playsafe Systems from the Veitch family. The acquisition is Boomerang’s third in a little over twelve months and follows the successful integration of both ISD and  IHL into the Boomerang family.

Group Chief Executive Andrew Ludlow said: “I would like to welcome Ian Fuller and the entire Playsafe team to the Boomerang fold  and to place on the record what a pleasure it has been working with the Veitch family to conclude this agreement. Ian will remain  as Managing Director of this product vertical, working closely with the Boomerang team and the Playsafe customer base, additionally I am also delighted to add the 17-strong Playsafe team to our incredible talent pool of industry professionals.

“Expanding the Boomerang portfolio to include machine data management solutions and paystations accelerates our ability to provide the industry with a fully comprehensive and integrated range of products and solutions. Creating a platform for technology and software convergence will not only provide our customers with added efficiencies but also lead to enhanced consumer engagement and to raise the bar in terms of the quality of the end-user experience.“

Outlining the route forward following the acquisition he added: “Playsafe has a proud heritage having served the industry for more than three decades. As a future-facing business we want to build on that platform address those areas where we want to improve and plot our development set against a backdrop of investment, further listening to and supporting our customers as well as continuing to deliver innovation.

“A by-product of the acquisition is that Eurocoin, which is one of the most respected names in the business, will join Boomerang’s list of strategic partners which will enable us to collaborate on opportunities adding value to both organisations as well as to the industry at large.”

Reflecting following completion of the agreement Nick Veitch added: “The Eurocoin Group has enjoyed eight successful years of development and ownership of the Playsafe business, which has played a significant and enduring role in the UK gaming industry since its formation by David Stenning over 30-years ago. Our difficult decision to sell the Playsafe business was made easier by the knowledge that it will be a great fit within Andrew Ludlow’s dynamic and fast-growing Boomerang Digital business.
